The RICS HomeBuyer Service includes:
– The Inspection
– The Report
– A Market Valuation and Building Insurance figure
These are all explained in the RICS document 'Description of the RICS Home Buyer Service', which also outlines the 'standard terms of engagement'.
The report:
Identifies what the Surveyor considers to be the most important issues.
– Gives details of the general condition and particular features of
the property.
– Applies condition ratings to the elements of the building and services
to complement and notate the text.
– Advises on repairs required to elements of the building and
whether further investigation is necessary.
– Lists particular points that you should refer to your legal advisor.
– Includes RIGHTSURVS opinion of the market value, and
reinstatement cost for insurance purposes.
